Mercedes is one of the larger luxury brands, with a wide range of options for drivers
opting for high-end vehicles.
In terms of sedans, Mercedes offers the
C,
E, and S-Class at the compact, mid-size and full-size levels respectively.
Each of these models can be easily found on the used car market. The brand also
offers a sleek two-door coupe dubbed the
CL. Recently, Mercedes helped kick off the "four-door coupe" phenomenon
with the
CLS, which is due for a redesign in the near future. This car combines the
interior and roominess of a sedan with the performance of a coupe.
But those looking for true performance will inevitably be drawn to the roadsters.
The
SLK, the cheaper of the two roadsters, features a retractable hard top and
racing-inspired styling. While the SL looks a bit more like a classic coupe, it
offers a superior engine to the
SLK. Both models come with an "AMG" option that upgrades the high-performance
vehicles even further. And for the truly elite, the
SLS AMG features gullwing doors and 0-60 in a breakneck 3.7 seconds.
For families, the closest thing that Mercedes offers to a minivan is the
R-Class, a large crossover that seats 7. In addition to traditionally-sized
SUVS in the compact
GLK, mid-size
M and full-size
GL, Mercedes also offers the high-end
G-Class, which is similar to a Land Rover or Hummer in design.
