Maserati
is a popular luxury car brand based in Bologna, Italy, that has been in production
since 1914. It is currently owned by automotive giant Fiat, who took over the company
in 1993.
The Italian automaker offers a range of four models with various trim levels. The
Quattroporte, as its name would suggest, is a four-door sedan equipped with a 4.2-liter
engine with a maximum speed of 167 mph. Maserati's
Quattroporte S version is outfitted with a V8 engine that generates 424
hp.
Another V8 model includes the
GranTurismo, which receives 399 hp at 7,100 rpm. The convertible version
of the GT is known as the GranCabrio.
Maserati customers looking for a high-performance vehicle should consider the MC12,
which is a rare model that drivers would be very lucky to find on the used car market.
Its V12 engine can generate 620 hp at 7,500 rpm, has a maximum speed of 205 mph,
and can achieve 62 mph from rest in 3.8 seconds.
