Jaguar is a British car manufacturer best known for its high-end luxury vehicles.
After being sold by Ford, it is currently owned by the Indian automaker Tata Motors.
The manufacturer currently offers three different models. In ascending size, these
are the compact
XK coupe, mid-size
XF and full-size
XJ sedan. The
XJ is the company's flagship vehicle, and recently received
an update last year, meaning that drivers who find a pre-owned
XJ on the used car market may be able to purchase it at a discount.
The
XK and
XF both offer a performance upgrade in the form of the
XFR or
XKR. Although the
XFR's top speed is electronically limited, the vehicle actually
set Jaguar's land speed record when it hit 225 miles per hour at the Bonneville
Salt Flats. Street-legal versions of the car won't get anywhere close to that, but
drivers will likely be satisfied with the 5.2-liter V8 engine that produces 510
horsepwoer.
On the used car market, drivers may also find the discontinued X-Type and S-Type,
both luxury cars that differ mainly in that the S-Type is slightly larger. Jaguar
currently maintains a pre-owned program that continues to support these vehicles.
