The Pontiac Torrent is an SUV that was in production from 2005 to 2009. The vehicle was first displayed at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

There are two different versions of this model. The standard edition is equipped with a 3.4-liter V6 engine, which produces 185 hp at 5,200 rpm and 210 lb-ft of torque at 3,800 rpm. The GXP line comes with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that can generate 264 hp at 6,500 rpm and 250 lb-ft of torque at 2,300 rpm.

Estimated fuel consumption for each trim is between 17 city and 24 highway miles per gallon.

Features of the SUV include XM Satellite Radio, MP3 playback capability, steering wheel audio controls, an amplifier, an equalizer, DVD entertainment system, voice-activated navigation system, Bluetooth hands-free calling, a compass, occupancy sensor, OnStar protection services, heated front seats, a sunroof and roof racks.
