The Kia Sportage is a compact crossover SUV that was introduced in 1993. The automaker produced this model as a mini SUV through 2002, then reintroduced the Sportage as its current behicle class in 2004.

There is one powertrain option available for all three trim levels of the SUV, which is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 176 hp at 6,000 rpm and 168 lb-ft torque at 4,000 rpm. It is available with either a six-speed manual or six-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with over drive and achieves between 21 city and 31 highway miles per gallon with its 14.5-gallon fuel tank.

Features of the Sportage include a four-speaker audio system, Sirius satellite radio, iPod integration, voice-activated touchscreen navigation system, rearview camera for backup assistance and remote vehicle start.

The latest edition of this Kia SUV, which begins at $18,295, is available in Signal Red, Clear White, Black Cherry, Bright Silver, Sand Track, Twilight Blue, Mineral Silver and Techno Orange. Customers have the option of complementing the exterior with Alpine Gray or Black cloth or leather upholstery.
