The Infiniti FX is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV that has been in production since 2003. It was introduced as a successor to the QX4 model and is currently available as the FX35 and FX50.
There are two powertrain options for the Infiniti SUV. FX35 standard and all-wheel-drive editions are equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine, which generates 303 hp at 6,800 rpm, 262 lb-ft torque at 4,800 rpm and achieves between 16 city and 23 highway miles per gallon. The FX50 offers higher performance with a 5.0-liter V8 engine, producing 390 hp at 6,500 rpm and 369 lb-ft torque at 4,400 rpm. This edition has a fuel economy of 14 city and 20 highway miles per gallon.
Features of the FX models include leather seating, an 11-speaker Bose Premium Audio system, speed-sensitive volume control, CD player, DVD entertainment, Bluetooth connectivity, iPod integration, XM Satellite Radio, and a touch-screen navigation system with real-time traffic and weather information.
The 2011 FX35 begins at $41,600 and the FX50 at $56,400.
