Drivers will be assisted by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that generates 250 hp at 5,700 rpm and 253 lb-ft torque at 4,800 rpm and is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. The Pilot runs on a 21-gallon fuel tank and achieves 16 city and 22 highway miles per gallon.
There are three trim levels of this model - the LX, EX/EX-L and Touring - which are all offered in either two- or four-wheel drive. Pricing for the Pilot begins at $28,045.
To keep passengers safe, the SUV is equipped with Vehicle Stability Assist to help steer drivers through difficult weather, three-row side curtain airbags and a body structure satisfying Advanced Compatibility Engineering standards.
Features of the Pilot include 87 cubic feet of cargo space, six-disc CD changer, iPod connectivity, XM Radio, and a seven- or 10-speaker audiosystem with subwoofers.
The Honda Pilot is also equipped with its Variable Cylinder Management system, designed to improve fuel economy.
