Though the Ford Focus debuted in North America for the 2000 model year, it was first revealed at the Paris Motor Show in 1998. The Focus one of the bestselling automotive nameplates in the world.

Beginning at around $16,640, the sedan is made in four editions, S, SE, SES and SEL. Highlights of the latter three include Sirius satellite radio, sports fascia, leather-trim and heated seating.

Currently in its second generation, which began in 2008, the Focus is available as either a coupe or sedan. The base model (S) is equipped with a 2.0-liter Duratec 20 engine, it gets 35 miles per gallon on the highway and generates up to 140 hp at 6,000 rpm and 136 lb-ft of torque at 4,250 rpm.

The new models are 30 pounds lighter than previous editions due to a full-body makeover. They also offer a number of safety features, including six airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system and a Personal Safety System.

The current Ford Focus four-door sedan is available in Blue Flame, Ingot Silver, Sterling Gray and Black.
