The Flex is a full-size crossover produced by Ford Motor Company, introduced in 2009 as a replacement for the Freestar minivan.
With room to seat seven passengers, the Flex is that automaker's largest full-size crossover. Its distinctive style combines stylistic qualities of a Range Rover and panel wagon with a Mini Cooper-esque two-tone roof.
There are two engine options for the Ford model. First is the 3.5-liter V6 engine producing up to 262 hp at 6,250 rpm and 248 lb-ft of torque at 4,500 rpm, with a fuel economy of up to 24 miles per gallon. The second is a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine, generating 355 hp at 5,700 rpm and 350 lb-ft of torque at 1,500 to 5,250 rpm.
The spacious vehicle has a five-star crash safety rating, assessed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. It features six standard airbags, a rear view camera for backup assistance, AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control to help operate the vehicle in inclement weather.
Beginning at $29,850, the Flex is available in four trim levels - the SE, SEL, Limited and Titanium.
