The Ford Expedition is a full-size SUV that was introduced in 1997 as a successor to the automaker's Bronco model. The EL version of the Expedition replaced the Ford Excursion.

The vehicle operates on a 5.4-liter V8 engine, which is compatible with E85 FlexFuel and is mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox with overdrive. The SUV generates up to 310 hp at 5,100 rpm and 365 lb-ft torque at 3,600 rpm. In terms of fuel economy, the standard version gets up to 14 city mpg and 20 highway mpg.

Two higher-level trims - the XLT and XLT Premium - are available with leather-trimmed power seating. Customers who opt for the Premium edition have a range of additional features to enjoy, such as a body-color grille, blacked-out headlamps, Charcoal Black interior with Silver Smoke seat inserts and more.

In terms of safety, the Expedition has six standard front seat and side-impact airbags and AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control to help avoid skidding and fishtailing in rough weather.

Other features include HD radio, rearview camera for backup assistance and a voice-activated navigation system.
