The Dodge Nitro is a compact SUV that Chrysler has been producing since 2006, when the car was introduced as a successor to the Raider model.
The SUV is available in several cool colors, including Detonator Yellow, Inferno Red, Deep Water Blue, Dark Charcoal and Natural Green, in pearl or metallic finishes.
There are three trim levels of the Nitro - the Heat, Detonator and Shock - beginning at $21,590. Customers have a choice of a 3.7-liter V6 engine producing 210 hp and 235 lb-ft torque, which gets between 16 and 22 miles per gallon and can reach 60 mph from rest in 10.1 seconds, or the 4.0-liter V6 motor. The latter engine receives up to 260 hp and 265 lb-ft torque, achieves up to 21 miles per gallon and is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission.
Available options of the Nitro include a six-disc CD changer, iPod connectivity, eight-speaker Infinity sound system and SIRIUS Satellite Radio. Other features include a power sunroof, heated mirrors and the UConnect multimedia system.
