The Dodge Journey is a mid-size SUV that has been in production by Chrysler since 2008. It was introduced as a replacement for the Caravan.

There are three trim levels of this model - SE, SXT, SXT AWD and Crew - beginning at $20,845.

The standard motor is a 2.4-liter World Engine that receives 19 city and 25 highway miles per gallon, and produces 173 hp and 166 lb-ft torque. For higher performance, customers have the option of a 3.5-liter V6 engine generating 235 hp and 232 lb-ft torque, with a fuel economy of 15 to 24 miles per gallon.

Features of the Journey include the "Chill Zone" illuminated cooler that holds bottled beverages, a power sunroof, SIRIS Satellite Radio, iPod connectivity, six-speaker audio system, bucket seating with cloth upholstery and keyless entry.

Customers have an option of Inferno Red, Brilliant Black, Deep Water Blue, Bright Silver, Silver Steel, Stone White or White Gold for the exterior paint job.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety recently awarded the Dodge Journey with the 2010 Top Safety Pick.
