The Dodge Dakota is a a mid-size pickup truck that has been in production since 1987. The automaker recently announced that it would discontinue this model in 2011.

Available in several colors, including Flame Red, Deep Water Blue, Bright Silver and Mango Tango, the Dakota begins at $22,755. It is available in two trim levels - the ST and Big Horn/Lone Star - offered in both two- and four-wheel drive.

The base engine offered in the Dodge pickup is a 3.7-liter Magnum V6 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Producing 210 hp and 235 lb-ft torque, the six-cylinder gets about 20 highway miles per gallon.

A second option for Dakota customers is the 4.7-liter V8 engine, receiving 19 highway miles per gallon on either gasoline or E85 FlexFuel. Operating with a five-speed automatic gearbox, this motor generates 302 hp and 329 lb-ft torque.
