The Dodge Challenger is a pony car that was introduced in 1970. Now in its fifth generation, the latest iteration was introduced as a competitor to the Ford Mustang.
Customers have several fun colors to choose from when purchasing a Challenger, such as Hemi Orange, Plum Crazy, Detonator Yellow, Furious Fuschia and TorRed.
The base version of the car is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine and five-speed automatic transmission, putting out 250 hp and 250 lb-ft torque. For higher performance, drivers can choose the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine available with the base gearbox or six-speed manual transmission. This option generates up to 372 hp and 400 lb-ft torque.
Speed demons may want the 6.1-liter V8 option, which produces 425 hp and 420 lb-ft torque.
Features of the Challenger include a Boston Acoustics Sound System or 13-speaker Kicker SRT audip package, SIRIUS satellite radio, iPod connectivity and navigation system.
There are four trim levels of the Dodge model - SE, SE 2DG, R/T and R/T 2DJ - beginning at $23,245.
