The Chevrolet Silverado is a full-size pickup truck that has been produced by General Motors since 1998. It has been one of the automaker's most successful models, having reached more than 700,000 annual sales in the past.
The Silverado 1500 is available in a number of combinations. Customers have a cab choice of regular, extended or crew; an option for short, standard or long box; as well as two- or four-wheel drive, making this Chevy model highly personalized for the driver's needs.
In addition to the many body choices is the engine option. There are two trim levels - the WT and LT - and both are available with either a 4.3-liter V6, 4.8- or 5.3-liter V8 engines. While the V6 is fueled by gasoline, the V8 options can also be powered by E85 FlexFuel.
The WT version comes with the V6, generating 195 hp and 260 lb-ft torque, while the 4.8L V8 produces 302 hp and 305 lb-ft.
Features of the pickup truck include a 26-gallon fuel tank, one-year subscription to OnStar on new vehicles, six airbags, automatic transmission and keyless entry.
