The Chevrolet Cavalier was a two-door compact car produced by General Motors from 1982-2005. During its 23-year lifetime, it was one of the best-selling cars in the country, once reaching an annual sales peak of 462,611.
The most recent version of the Cavalier is a second-generation model equipped with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, producing up to 150 hp. In previous model years, Chevy gave customers the option of a 2.2-liter Ecotec V4 power source providing 140 hp. The Cavalier has been offered in two higher-trim levels - LS and LS Sport - as well as different body styles like a hatchback, sedan and station wagon.
All models operate in front-wheel drive and drivers have a choice between a five-speed manual transmission or four-speed automatic. Optional features include a CD player, MP3 connectivity, ant-theft alarm system, power sunroof, power windows, XM Radio and more.
The Cavalier was produced in a variety of colors, including Summit White, Black, Sheer Silver, Dark Green and Inferno Orange.
General Motors ceased the production of their popular compact car to make way for the Cobalt.
