The Corvette is a classic sports car produced by Chevrolet since 1952. Throughout the decades it has been offered as a coupe, convertible and t-top coupe, and is now in its sixth generation.
The latest coupe version, available in four trim levels, is equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission with overdrive. It generates up to 430 hp at 5,900 rpm and 424 lb-ft torque, achieving 60 mph from rest in 4.2 seconds. In terms of fuel economy, the Corvette receives 26 highway mpg.
There are six body styles of the sports car - Coupe, Convertible, Grand Sport, Grand Sport Convertible, Z06 and ZR1. The ZR1 has a supercharged LS9 engine that achieves 638 hp and up to 205 mph, making it General Motors' fastest car in the automaker's history.
Corvette customers have a variety of exterior colors to choose from, including Velocity Yellow, Supersonic Blue, Torch Red and Inferno Orange.
Chevy's iconic model is perhaps best recognized by its rear light treatment featuring a "duck tail" with four round lights, which all models have had since 1962.
