The Chevrolet Cobalt was a compact car model that the company ceased production on in 2010 to make way for the Cruze. Drivers may be able to find both coupe and sedan versions of the car beginning from the 2005 model year.
There are four trim levels of the model - XFE, LS, LT and SS. XFE stands for extra fuel economy, and although this edition lacks features like air conditioning to boost efficiency, other versions of the Cobalt include the amenity. The LS trim comes with General Motors' OnStar communications service for extra safety, leather seating, XM Radio and more.
Mated to a manual five-speed transmission, the Cobalt is outfitted with a 2.2-liter V4 engine that produces 155 hp. It boasts a high fuel economy with 37 highway miles per gallon and is also available with a four-speed automatic on some trim levels. Customers who choose the SS edition will have a 2.0-liter turbocharged V4 motor that produces 260 hp.
