The Chevrolet Aveo was introduced in 2002 and is built by General Motors.
The Aveo is available in several different versions. It has been produced as a three- and five-door hatchback, as well as a four-door sedan. The latter two are both new options for 2011, and feature a fuel economy of 35 highway mpg and a starting price tag of $11,965.

Chevy's sedan version features an ECOTEC 1.6-liter I-4 engine that produces 108 hp. It is mated to a five-speed manual transmission, but higher trim levels offers a four-speed automatic gearbox as an option.

The three trims of the Aveo are LS, 1LT and 2LT. Available on the higher trims are a six-speaker audio system with MP3 capabilities and XM Radio, air conditioning, reclining bucket seats and power sunroof.

A prominent safety feature of the sedan is its OnStar capabilities, which is GM's communication service providing automatic crash response, roadside assistance, hands-free calling and more. OnStar is available to drivers with a subscription.
