The Cadillac Escalade was first introduced in 1999 as the automaker's foray into the SUV sector. The full-size luxury vehicle peaked in 2007 with more than 62,000 sold in the United States. Currently, the car is available in base edition, Luxury, Premium and Platinum Collections.
Each edition features rear-wheel or all-wheel drive and a 6.2-liter V8 engine, with 403 hp at 5,700 rpm and 417 lb-ft torque at 4,300 rpm. With a fuel tank capacity of 26 gallons, the Escalade receives 13 city mpg and 18-20 highway mpg.
Interior options include heated, leather bucket seats, rearview backup camera, Bluetooth capabilities, OnStar communications service and remote engine start. For Premium and Platinum Collection editions, some features include heated steering wheel, power-tilt sliding sunroof and a rear-seat entertainment system.
The Escalade is available in Black Raven, White Diamond, Silver Lining, Black Ice, Gold Mist and Galaxy Gray. Customers have an interior choice between ebony on ebony or cashmere on cocoa seating.
