The Volkswagen Tiguan is a compact crossover SUV that has been in production since 2007, when it was released at the Frankfurt Motor Show. It has a similar body style to the Volkswagen Golf model.
The Tiguan is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. It generates 200 hp at 5,100 rpm and 207 lb-ft torque at 5,000 rpm, reaches 60 miles per hour from rest in 7.8 seconds and has a fuel economy of 18 city and 26 highway miles per gallon.
Features of the crossover include remote keyless entry and engine start, eight speakers, CD player, Bluetooth hands-free calling system, iPod integration, touch-screen sound system, power-sliding panoramic sun roof and more. The standard edition of the SUV is available with cloth upholstery, while the higher trims come with leather seating.
