The Volkswagen Golf is hatchback family car that has been in production since 1974. This vehicle was introduced as a successor to the Beetle and is also known as the Volkswagen Rabbit.

Standard editions of this model are equipped with a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, which generates 157 hp and 177 lb-ft torque. There is also a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel fuel motor available that produces 137 hp and 236 lb-ft torque.

The latest edition of the Golf begins at $17,965 and is offered in seven sleek colors - Reflex Silver, United Gray, Shark Blue, Blue Graphite, Black, Candy White and Tornado Red.

Features of the hatchback include steering wheel-mounted audio controls, eight speakers, iPod integration, cloth upholstery, an anti-theft alarm and a touchscreen navigation system. Optional features that are available are a hands-free calling system provided by Bluetooth, a power-tilting/sliding tinted sunroof and a cold weather packages that includes heated front seats and a front washer nozzle.
