Suzuki

Although Suzuki has a formidable worldwide presence, the Japanese automaker has only recently started to make headway in the US market, benefiting from a limited agreement with General Motors to manufacture some of its cars in the US. Suzuki has also entered into a close alliance with German automaker Volkswagen.

The Suzuki Kizashi is Suzuki's attempt at making an affordable vehicle to compete with luxury sedans. By critic's accounts, the company largely succeeded, with the car winning a top safety award from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and positive reviews on several prominent automotive websites. Specifically, the websites praised the cars' handling as emulating the top European and Japanese cars it was competing with.

The main vehicle in Suzuki's fleet is the SX4, a compact sedan is available with the basic package, sport-tuned options, and as a hatchback or crossover. The SX4 is Suzuki's main economy car, with the basic model coming in at less than $15,000.

Suzuki also makes a mid-size SUV, the Grand Vitara, and the Equator pickup truck, which is available with an extended cab for extra space.
