Ferrari
Ferrari is one of, if not the most famous supercar manufacturers in the world and
the most successful F1 companies of all time.
The company's racing background is reflected in their famous engines. On their website,
Ferrari lists how they modify their F1 technology for their line of GT sports cars.
Ferrari has a long history of making exclusive and highly-sought after vehicles.
Many of their cars are offered as one-time-only deals rather than the typical fleets
that other manufacturers boast.
Just four models make up the company's current offerings: the 458 Italia, 599 GTB
Fiorano, 612 Scagletti, and Ferrari California. The numbers typically refer to engine
displacement, although this can become confusing as Ferrari sometimes changes this,
such as with their upcoming F70.
Recently, the company debuted a concept for their first hybrid car, the 599 HY-KERS.
Ferrari focused their efforts on developing lightweight hybrid components so as
not to effect handling or interior room. The car features both an electric motor
and the V12 engine used on their other cars. It is unknown if it will ever see mass
production.
