Lamborghini
Lamborghini, currently owned by Audi and a subsidiary of Volkswagen, is one of the
most famous European supercar manufacturers. The brand is known for its exclusivity,
producing less than 3,000 units of most of its models per year.
The company's entire fleet consists of two models available in two packages, although
the company frequently offers limited-edition variants of these. The current two
models are the Gallardo and the Murcielago.
Both models are available as a coupe or roadster, with the key difference being
the V12 in the Murcielago as opposed to the Gallardo's V10. A limited production
run of 350 Murcielago SVs, or SuperVeloce, shaves the already impressive 3.4 second
0-60 down to 3.2.
At a recent auto show, Lamborghini debuted the Estoque concept car, which will be
the company's first four-door sedan offering, should it go into production. Many
of Lamborghini's competitors in the exotic supercar market have introduced four-door
models as of late.
Many of Lamborghini's models are tied to bullfighting, which can be seen in the
company's logo. For example, the Estoque is named after the "estoc" sword that bullfighters
carry, and the classic Diablo model's namesake is a legendary bull.
