Top 2011 Hybrids
Hybrid vehicles are definitely big these days and nearly every car company has at least one in their lineup. For the consumer, it can be a bit confusing, trying to pick out the best ones. From the new Lexus HS 250h to the 2011 Ford Fusion, there’s a car for everyone.
1. Toyota Prius. Everyone knows this small sedan. It brings in 50 mpg and is one of the earlier adapters of the hybrid engine.
2. Honda Civic. Getting 42 mpg, this car isn’t as efficient as the Toyota Prius, but it certainly gets you where you need to go and looks good on the way.
3. Honda Insight. Another top hybrid from Honda, this offers 41 mpg and is very affordable at just $18,200.
4. Ford Fusion. This is a good car for the price, since it’s a full size sedan and offers 39 mpg on average . . . more if you’re careful.
5. Mercury Milan. A luxury vehicle that is very similar to the Fusion, this car gets 39 mpg, almost double the non-hybrid model.
6. Honda CR-Z. Honda is leading this list and the CR-Z is a serious sports car that is also compact and a hybrid for a double whammy.
7. Nissan Altima. A comfortable looking car that won’t win any style awards, the Altima hybrid is fuel efficient and easy to handle. It gets 34 mpg.
8. Lexus HS 250H. Luxury and hybrid rolled into one posh sedan that will let you save money on a rather pricey vehicle.
9. Toyota Camry. The hybrid version of this model is one smoking sedan. It gets 33 mpg and offers a comfortable ride.
10. Ford Escape. A sleek SUV that looks even more amazing than it performs, the Escape gets a whopping 32 mpg, not bad for a sports utility vehicle.
These hybrids are top of their class, from Ford Fusion to Toyota Camry.
