This will be high-end even for Jaguar 05/09/2011
While Jaguar is certainly known as a luxury car maker, sometimes prices are even too high for the well-off consumers to attain. However, while many of us view an expensive car as the ultimate status symbol, some are willing to shell out unprecedented amounts of money for a nice set of wheels. Think the Italian sports cars, the Bentleys and the Rolls Royces. Now, Jaguar is looking to make these cars look like a bargain.

Although car enthusiasts may have heard rumblings about the Jaguar C-X75 after it was shown at the Paris motor show last year, this magnificent car is now becoming a reality, as Automotive News reports that it will be available for purchase in late 2013. Oh, side note, the price tag is $1.1 million.

Still, if you happen to have $1.1 million lying around (don't we all?) then you may be able to become the owner of a very rare vehicle. The source reports that only 200 cars will be produced between 2013 and 2015.

Of course, another major draw to this car is that it goes fast. Zooming from 0 to 60 in less than three seconds, the supercar's top speed is 200 mph.

It's also good for the environment! The model will feature an internal combustion engine that is paired with two electric motors.

Auto Blog reports that when this was first presented during the Paris motor show in 2010, company executives knew they had something special.

"The aim was to produce not only the most innovative but also one of the most beautiful Jaguars ever; one which hints at an exciting evolution of the marque's award-winning design language while paying homage to some of its most admired cars of years gone by," the company said.
