The new Advetador sells out 03/10/2011
Many consumers purchased the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 after it debuted at the Geneva Auto Show a few weeks ago and the car company recently announced that it has sold out for the rest of the year, according to Edmunds Inside Line.
Lamborghini said that it has sold more than a year's worth of vehicles and customers can expect deliveries to begin in the second half of 2011, reported the news source.
Despite the Italian car company losing money last year, officials predict that its revenue will do better in 2011, thanks to the Aventador.
"We see a slow but steady recovery of the market, and we will benefit from this," Stephan Winkelmann, said in a statement. "The extraordinary response to the new Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 is the best proof that our vision is right."
The Lamborghini Aventador is priced at $379,700 and is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine that can generate 690 hp. It comes equipped with a seven-speed automated gearbox and can reach 60 miles per hour from rest in less than 2.9 seconds, the news source reported.
