Those who are looking to purchase a Chrysler next year may find that 2012 Chrysler 300S is something to look or worth looking into, as the automaker gave the vehicle a new transmission that will surely drive consumers' focus to the newest model of sedan.
Motor Trend Magazine reports that the 300S with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine will be offered with an eight-speed automatic transmission. While the news provider stipulates that the new transmission may be eventually offered on all of the 300 V-6 models, the 300S is the only one that is confirmed.
Chrysler may be targeting the vehicle toward a younger audience, as the 300S will feature a 10-speaker, 522-watt sound system that was developed by Dr. Dre's audio company, Beats.
USA Today reports that the rapper will also star in the car's advertising campaign, as the brand is trying to reinvent the sedan as a luxury car that's affordable.
"This will be a breakthrough in terms of how you speak about luxury [in] this country," Olivier Francois, chief executive officer (CEO) of the Chrysler brand, told the news provider. "It doesn't speak about luxury in terms of just aesthetic, but about luxury in terms [of] the spirit."
