The Subaru Impreza makes its first appearance at the New York Auto Show 04/07/2011
Subaru recently announced that it would debut its four and five-door Impreza at 2011 the New York Auto Show, which begins on April 22, according to Edmunds Inside Line.
The car company also released pictures of the automobile but has yet to reveal substantial information about the vehicle. However, Subaru did say that consumers can expect the new Impreza to achieve 36 miles per gallon. This is the "highest fuel-economy rating of any all-wheel drive automobiles that are sold in the U.S.," the news source reported.
Car enthusiasts can purchase the new automobile in late 2011. Although Subaru has not discussed the vehicle’s engine specifications, industry experts believe that the vehicle will come equipped with Subaru's new-generation four-cylinder boxer motor. The engine is available in two sizes - 2.0 and 2.5-liters. The former can produce 146 hp and between 141 to 145 lb-ft of torque, reported the news source.
Additionally, Subaru said that the new model will have "a roomier interior and improved levels of comfort and refinement."
