The Plug In model will be more environmentally friendly than the popular Hybrid 05/12/2011
Following the popularity of the Toyota Prius, the automaker is looking to take it one step further in the fuel economy market by announcing the Toyota Pruis Plug-In, which will only be available in certain areas upon its debut.

The car has the ability to travel up to 13 miles before it even uses a drop of gas, and now New York Toyota dealers may have the first pick when it comes to debuting these vehicles to the public. As many Americans have been frustrated by the high increase in gas prices, it seems as though this could mean good things for the brand, which was the first to offer a hybrid vehicle to the mass market.

"New York drivers love the Toyota Prius," said Mike Raucci, general manager of Albany-areaToyota dealership New Country Toyota of Clifton Park. "With fuel prices on the rise yet again, the Prius is already a popular choice at our dealership. The Prius Plug-In is the next evolutionary step, and I think it’s going to be a hit."
