The Lotus Evora S will debut in Paris next month. 08/20/2010
A new model of the Lotus Evora will debut at the Paris Motor Show next month, according to a leaked email obtained by Motor Trend.

Rumors surrounding the new model suggest the addition of a supercharger, which would boost power in the current models 3.5-liter V6 engine. It is also being speculated that the car’s bodywork has been redesigned specifically to incorporate the supercharger.

The Evora delivers 350bhp and can achieve zero to 62mph in under five seconds, with a maximum speed of 175mph.

Lotus is reportedly trying to break into the luxury performance car market, and has a number of surprises in tow for September’s auto show in France.

“There’s going to be a lot happening at Paris,” Steven Doyle, chief engineer for the exotic car manufacturer, told BBC News. “We’re going to expand the model range quite significantly.”

Testing at Nurburgring in Germany will commence this week, according to the leaked documents. Along with the Evora S, the email mentioned a “mystery car” to be debuted at the show, most likely a concept car to rival Ferrari or Aston Martin.ADNFCR-3028-ID-19929120-ADNFCR
