Suzuki launches new ad campaign for the Kizashi 01/04/2011
Japanese carmaker Suzuki has launched a new marketing campaign for its mid-size Kizashi aimed at bringing the vehicle into direct competition with luxury sedans, according to a press release.

"The Kizashi brings a new dimension of performance and value to the mid-size sedan market, delivering the extraordinary driving excitement, luxury and safety of a premium sports sedan at an ordinary sedan price," said Steven Younan, director of marketing for American Suzuki Automotive Operations.

Suzuki's new campaign, which was developed in conjuction with California marketing firm Siltanen & Partners Advertising, compares the safety and braking performance of the Kizashi to similarly sized luxury cars like the Volvo S40, Audi A4 and Mercedes C300.

To make the commercials - and the Kizashi - more distinctive, Suzuki also included a stretch limo, a bubble wrap suit and a motorized sofa in the tests depicted in the advertisements.

"We believe the 'Kizashi Kicks' campaign expresses the heart and soul of the Kizashi and builds on the brand enthusiasm our sport sedan has generated for American Suzuki over the last year," added Younan.
