Stars will drive the Suzuki SX4 on American version of "Top Gear" 12/06/2010
The popular British television show "Top Gear" is being revamped for American audiences, and one segment on the new show will let fans see some of their favorite celebrities drive a Suzuki SX4 SportBack.

According to the New York Times, the segment - called "Big Star, Small Car" - puts a new celebrity behind the wheel of the SX4 each week, pitting them against one another as each new guest tries to break a speed record on a designated course.

Top Gear's SX4 was only slightly modified for the show. The source reports that the only additions to the standard model were racing seats, a roll cage and a camera rig.

Professional skateboarder Tony Hawk reportedly enjoyed his turn with the Suzuki car, telling a representative of the Japanese automaker on set that the vehicle was "almost too good."

According to Jalopnik, other celebrities slated to appear in the "Big Star, Small Car" segment include actors Ty Burrell, Dominic Monaghan and Michelle Rodriguez as well as astronaut Buzz Aldrin.
