Saab reveals specifications of the new 9-5 SportCombi wagon 01/21/2011
Swedish car company Saab has announced that it will unveil the 9-5 SportCombi wagon, which is based on the 9-5 sedan, at the upcoming Geneva Auto Show, reports Car and Driver.

Expected to hit the U.S. market as a 2012 model sometime this fall, the 9-5 SportCombi reportedly retains much of the exterior styling of its sedan counterpart from the C-pillar forward. Behind the C-pillar, the 9-5 SportCombi has wraparound glass, an integrated rear spoiler and roof rails.

The 9-5 SportCombi's interior was designed to maximize storage space in the rear of the vehicle. With the rear seats in place, the trunk has 16.6 cubic feet of space, while folding the seats down increases that figure to 56 cubic feet. A flat floor in the rear bay facilitates loading and unloading, while tie-down hooks help keep things from sliding around.

Additionally, the car comes with optional storage cubbies beneath the floor of the trunk of the car.

The American 9-5 SportCombi will be powered by a 220 horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which is the same powertrain featured in the 9-5 sedan. The car will also be equipped with all-wheel drive.
