Ram introduces "Adventurer" 02/24/2011
Ram has decided to push up the launch of their Ram 1500 truck due to positive response from consumers. The vehicle has been code named the "Adventurer" and was recently unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show, according to ABC News.
The truck comes with fog lamps, automatic headlamps and a Hemi V8 engine that can produce 390 hp and 407 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle has 20-inch aluminum wheels, chrome exhaust tips and buyers can select between seven colors. The Adventurer will also come with standard rear-wheel drive, however, consumers can choose four-wheel drive. Features for the vehicle include Bluetooth hands-free calling, a cloth bench seat and cruise control, reported USA Today.
"We know we have the formula right," Ram Truck President and CEO Fred Diaz told ABC. "Now we just need a great name that promotes pride of ownership. This new Ram model will be an attractive alternative for a younger or first-time buyer looking for performance at an affordable price."
The model will also come with either two-wheel or four-wheel drivetrains and pricing will start around $22,855. Consumers will be able to purchase the automobile in the second quarter of 2011.
