Overlooked luxury vehicles 04/27/2011
Many drivers are familiar with the main luxury brands, as Mercedes, BMW, Lexus and Audi are typically given plenty of acclaim and coverage by the automotive press. Yet there are many high-end cars that are often overlooked by both buyers and critics.

Infiniti G37

The Infiniti G37 is available as both a coupe or sedan, and either way you can't really lose. Featuring a 3.7-liter V6 engine that produces 330 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, the G37 flat-out beats many of its competitors in both the sedan and coupe segments. The car also comes with an attractive price, starting around $37,000 for either the coupe or sedan. Yet as well-designed as the G37 is, it's often passed over in favor of luxury brands that carry a bit more prestige.

Lincoln MKZ Hybrid

There are plenty of eco-friendly options in the luxury market - if drivers are willing to pay for it. What's great about the MKZ Hybrid, however, is that it's priced exactly the same - just under $35,000 - whether you go with the hybrid or gas-powered version. That's something that no other luxury car can claim. Making the MKZ Hybrid even more attractive is the fact that the sedan is already an incredibly solid vehicle to begin with that competes nicely against other cars in its class.

Cadillac SRX

Cadillac's SRX model is a great crossover that offers extremely good value, but it's often overlooked - even within the Cadillac family, with most of the attention on the larger Escalade. Still, this is a well-designed car with a bevy of interior features and a 3-liter V6 engine all for less than $35,000 - a price much lower than that of its competitors.
