Mini plans big promotion for Detroit Auto Show 01/11/2011
British automaker Mini has plans to dazzle onlookers with a celebration of its 10th year in the North American market at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show, reports Autoevolution.

Mini first debuted in North America at the same event a decade ago, so this year it reportedly will carry out a special promotional campaign designed to draw attention.

An important part of its auto show promotion is the official unveiling of the new Mini Paceman, its fresh sports coupe.

"The four-seater study (with two large doors) takes the fundamental strengths of Mini - its uniqueness, go-kart handling, agility and dynamic capability - and gives them a sporty, masculine flavor with the help of cutting edge technology and an innovative body concept," boasts the company in a press release.

The Detroit Auto Show is also the venue of the official debut of the Mini Countryman, the marque's crossover sport utility vehicle, to the U.S. and Canadian markets. The automaker's Detroit display will also feature the rest of the cars it currently manufactures in an attempt to entice new customers.
