Mercedes will showcase its A-Class at the New York and Shanghai Auto Show 04/11/2011
German automaker Mercedes-Benz recently announced that it would display its Concept A-Class for the first time at the 2011 Shanghai and New York Auto Shows later this month. Additionally, the vehicle will most likely come to U.S. markets in 2012, according to Edmunds Inside Line.

The automobile has a unique look and is extremely different from the current A-Class, which has a "unique sandwich platform that was engineered to accommodate a variety of drive trains, including a pure electric system." The automobile will have a more traditional style, reported the news source.

In terms of engine specifications, the vehicle will be powered by a 2.0-liter direct injection unit four-cylinder motor that can achieve 210 hp. It also will feature a dual-clutch transmission, the news source reported.

The vehicle has a number of features, such as a collision warning system that uses radar technology and visuals to warn drivers before an accident occurs. It also has adaptive break assist, which will lower the chances of a crash into the rear end of the car.
