Many people know Laborghini for its sports cars 05/25/2011
While many individuals may strive toward being able to afford a Lamborghini, some may find that if they're one of the lucky people to actually have one in their garage, it's not really the kind of car to take out just for simple errands. We've all seen at least one episode of MTV Cribs (admit it), and perhaps the one thing that the show taught us - you're not anyone until you have a Lamborghini…just for the sake of having one.
However, if your main reason for not owning a Lamborghini is because you can't use it in everyday life, you're in luck. Reuters is reporting that the company's chief executive, Stephan Winkelmann, is mulling over the possibility of creating an "everyday" model of the luxury Italian sports car. The reason for this push is the automaker, which is a unit of the Audi brand, wants to return to the record levels in sales it saw back in 2007.
However, Winkelmann said that the company would need time in order to determine what market this kind of car will fit into, and once they finally narrow that down, a design must be made.
"We will be growing but on a level which for the time being is not so important for us as the fact we are building up a new order bank," Winkelmann told the news provider.
Despite some people thinking that this could boost sales, other car enthusiasts aren't pleased with the news. Motoroids reports that this would damage one of the few sports car brands that are left in the world, and that the Italian automaker should stick to what it knows.
What are your thoughts? Do you want to see a Lamborghini for the everyday chores or do you want your car to stick out and be special?
