Lexus display in Chicago to emphasize performance 02/04/2011
Lexus, the luxury marque produced by Toyota, is expected to emphasize performance at its exhibit during the upcoming 2011 Chicago Auto Show, according to a press release.
The 20,000 square foot space occupied by Lexus will reportedly feature displays that promote "sporty accessorization and sheer, unbridled horsepower."
Vehicles expected to be featured in the Lexus exhibit include the LFA supercar, which is powered by a 552 horsepower V10 engine, and the new CT 200h, a hybrid with an estimated fuel economy of 42 miles per gallon that will hit the U.S. market in March of this year.
The CT 200h going on display at the Chicago show will feature Five Axis Product modifications intended to show that a hybrid car can still be aggressive. Modifications include a custom widebody conversion, 19-inch forged wheels, a TEIN Flex coilover suspension system, special "Dark Passage" paint and custom black accents.
"For more than a decade, Americans have made Lexus the top luxury brand in the country because of its refined sedans and SUVs, but there's more to this company than meets the eye," said Paul Rohovsky, Lexus's national manager of events and promotions.
