Lexus RX 350 vs Lincoln MKX 02/25/2011
The Lexus RX 350 and Lincoln MKX are two of the more popular luxury SUVs available, and there's only a $1,000 price difference between the two vehicles. To make things a bit easier on drivers trying to choose between them, we compared the two models side-by-side to see which offered drivers more bang for their buck.

The MKX is the more expensive of the two vehicles, with a starting price tag of $39,375, while Lexus prices the RX 350 at $38,375. Both models are backed by a 6 year/70,000 mile warranty.

In terms of performance, Lincoln has a notable but not dominant advantage. In addition to achieving one extra mpg on both city and highway, the MKX's V6 engine produces 305 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. The RX 350 can only muster 275 horsepower and 257 lb-ft of torque.

The MKX is also the better-equipped vehicle, featuring the Ford SYNC system, heated seats, parking assistance and an iPod dock. The RX 350 does offer a number of these features as options, but they will raise the price tag.

An initial price gap of $1,000 isn't something to just ignore, but we feel that the Lincoln MKX ultimately justifies the difference in price.
