Hyundai Veracruz vs Mitsubishi Endeavor 04/20/2011
When two cars are so close in price, they'll invariably be compared. But sometimes it can be tough for a driver choosing between two vehicles to make that final decision. We compared the Hyundai Veracruz and Mitsubishi Endeavor, two SUVs that are less than $50 apart in price, to see which offered better value.

The Veracruz is just a touch more expensive at $28,345 than the Veracruz at $28,299. The great thing about these two vehicles is their excellent warranties, as they both come with a 10 year/100,000 mile powertrain limited warranty.

Under the hood, the Veracruz holds the slight edge with 260 horsepower and 257 lb-ft of torque, beating out Mitsubishi's 225 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque. The Veracruz also has better fuel economy at 17/22 mpgs than the Endeavor's 15/21. Drivers should note that Mitsubishi recommends premium fuel for the Endeavor, which can cost quite a bit extra at the pump.

These vehicles are pretty close on the interior, as the Endeavor comes with Bluetooth and dual climate control as standard features, while the Veracruz offers heated, powered seats and parking assistance.

Ultimately, the Veracruz is the better vehicle, with increased horsepower and slightly better fuel economy.
