Hyundai Azera will make a comeback at the 2011 LA Auto Show. 08/10/2011
Back in January, Hyundai released a promotional video for the Azera that highlights the luxurious and high-class appeal of the sleek new car. The sedan will fall into the same class as the Lexus ES, the Buick LaCrosse and the Toyota Avalon when it enters the U.S. market, according to Left Lane News.
"We're in the final stages of ride/handling tuning for the 2012 Azera, and it's dialing in nicely," Hyundai wrote on Twitter. "Look out for it at the LA Auto Show."
The Azera was once the only luxury sedan offered by the Korean automaker, but the Genesis and the Equus were both introduced to keep the luxury car company at the top. Now, the Azera will get a chance to shine anew.
The car has already been released in Korea with a 3.0-liter direct-injected V6 engine that boasts 270 horsepower, and some markets will have the option to downgrade to a smaller, four-cylinder engine. The American model is rumored to be receiving a slightly more powerful 3.5-liter V6 with more than 300 hp, Automobile Magazine reports.
