Honda's model ultimately won out 05/25/2011
The Honda Odyssey was recently named the Ultimate Minivan by Cars.com. This was the company's premiere Ultimate Minivan Shootout, where workers took six 2011 model minivans that were under the cost of $45,000 in order to put the models through various tests.

Executives from the car website noted that this was a good idea because minivans have not always been "the" car to drive, which is why it was important to show consumers that people can still do some of the wear and tear that they do in other models.

"We wanted to put these minivans through real-life tests with input not just from the experts but from a family with children," said Patrick Olsen, the website's editor in chief. "This shootout takes into consideration the important insight of what the family thought was a good minivan and which one truly met their needs, because their opinions are important and reflect what all minivan shoppers would want."

Other vehicles that participated in the contest included the Chrysler Town & Country, the Dodge Caravan, the Nissan Quest, the Toyota Sienna and the Volkswagen Routan.
