Consumers looking to get their hands on the 2012 C63 AMG by Mercedes-Benz will be able to purchase the coupe this September when it finally comes to the U.S. market, according to Edmunds Inside Line.
The vehicle is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine, which can achieve 451 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. Car buyers who opt for the performance package can expect the car to generate 481 hp. The package also increases the car's top speed from 155 to 175 miles per hour. Additionally, the coupe can reach 60 miles per hour from rest in 4.3 seconds and both trims will come with AMG's Speedshift MCT seven-speed gearbox, the news source reported.
The C63 AMG has received a number of upgrades from the previous edition, such as wider front and rear tracks, a top-of-the-line braking system and speed sensitive sport steering. Several consumers will enjoy that the vehicle comes with 18-inch AMG alloy wheels as well, reported the news source.
Inside the cockpit, consumers will find a three-digital AMG gauge cluster and a sleek flat and short steering wheel that comes with a number of multifunction buttons. Car buyers can choose between leather or a new manmade fabric for the vehicle's interior.
