Consumers can upgrade their Mercedes-Benz with special packages 04/15/2011
Consumers who want to improve the performance of their CL500, CL65 AMG or other Mercedes-Benz vehicles may want to think about investing in a performance kit created by Vath - a specialist with the German automaker, according to Edmunds Inside Line.
The CL65 AMG comes equipped with a 6.0-liter V12 engine that can generate 653 hp and has a top speed of 186 miles per hour. With the Vath upgrade, the vehicle will be able to produce 737 hp and will be able to reach 205 miles per hour. The torque will also be increased to 847 lb-ft, the news source reported.
To achieve the increased power and higher speeds, Vath uses specialized tools and hardware. It also lowers the suspension, expands the front and rear track, and alters the performance breaks and the exhaust, reported the news source.
In addition, Vath will also streamline the the car's features, add a carbon-fiber front and rear-lid lip spoiler, a new carbon-fiber grille and much more.
Those who opt for the carbon-fiber package can expect to get a new speedometer, aluminum pedals and a sport steering wheel.
