Audi releases sketches of new concept car 02/25/2011
Audi recently released three sketches of the A3 sedan concept car that will debut at the Geneva Auto Show on March 1, according to Edmunds Inside Line.
The pictures show the car's style in great detail. The A3 will be a four-seater notchback, which has a low roof and C-pillar design. The vehicle will also have a single frame grille and LED headlights, the news source reported. However, the automaker did not reveal any images or sketches of the vehicle's interior.
"The four-seater notchback sedan offers a glimpse of the future expansion of the A3 family," the manufacturer said in a press release.
The concept car will have a five-cylinder turbocharged engine, which can generate 408 hp. It will be connected to a seven-speed S-tronic transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive. The automobile will be 172 inches long and 55 inches tall, reported the news source.
A number of other automakers, including Mercedes and Rolls-Royce, have offered car enthusiasts sneak peeks of their new vehicles by releasing technical information and photos, long before showcasing them during the Geneva Auto Show.
