Aston Martin unveils three special edition DB9s 12/23/2010
Luxury carmaker Aston Martin has released three special editions of the DB9, its GT sports coupe, according to AutoWeek.

Two of the special editions - Carbon Black and Quantum Silver - are designed for peak performance. The cars will feature a six-speed Touchtronic II automatic transmission and a modified sports exhaust that gives the car a sportier sound.

The Carbon Black and Quantum Silver editions also have 19-inch black 10-spoke wheels, black grilles and graphite tailpipes. The cars' interiors will have an obsidian black finish, complete with leather roof lining, coarse silver stitching and polished glass switches.

The Morning Frost version of the DB9 is designed for luxury instead of sport. The car's exterior is painted a pearly white, with the car's exterior trim rimmed with silver instead of the black found on the other two editions. In a similar departure, the black interior of the sport versions is replaced with metallic bronze.

All three versions of the car feature laser-etched plaques engraved with the car's model and the Aston Martin logo.
