Acura stars in the new Thor movie 04/15/2011
Car enthusiasts who plan on seeing the comic-inspired film "Thor" will be able to spot Acura vehicles, as the Japanese auto firm is working with Paramount Pictures to feature the automobiles in the movie, according to Edmunds Inside Line.

The film stars Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman and is based on the comic series of the same name. Thor is a Norse god who has been exiled by his father and has to live on earth. The movie depicts the hero's journey of trying to escape S.H.I.E.L.D. agents who use high-tech cars that can fly, and Acura will be providing those futuristic automobile, the news source reported.

The automobiles that will be used in the movie include the Acura MDX, ZDX and the TL. The vehicles will get about two minutes of airtime and some of the models will even be wrecked, reported the news source.

In addition. the car company has developed a Thor-themed website where individuals can create their own S.H.E.I.L.D. cars and enter to win free tickets to the film.
